About the Role
The Senior Project Manager SDP & Construction is responsible for the build-out of boutiques in the US and Canada, leading and coordinating internal design teams, consultants, and contractors through all project phases from feasibility to turnover.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all architectural and construction activities for boutique renovation and creation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and Store Design Planning (SDP) to develop feasibility studies and evaluate potential locations.
- Manage 2-3 construction projects annually in the US and Canada, including flagship locations.
- Review construction cost estimates and ensure construction and renovation budgets are current.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure successful project execution aligned with business needs.
- Ensure timely ordering and delivery of owner-supplied items.
- Liaise with the legal department for review of design and construction-related lease exhibits and contracts.
- Lead schematic and design development phases, coordinating with international SDP, local retail teams, architects, and consultants.
- Lead the execution phase, finalizing construction documents with consultants and managing permitting.
- Lead the tender phase, reviewing scopes of work with general contractors and millworkers.
- Manage project cost tracking, process invoices, and reconcile with accounts payable.
- Oversee project turnover to retail and ensure completion of punch list items.
- Potentially manage people based on structural needs and workload.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in luxury retail construction and project management.
- In-house project management experience is preferred.
- Experience in full-scope retail construction projects.
Skills
- Fluent in AutoCAD, Excel, Adobe CS, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of store planning and construction methods.
