About the Role
This 12-month graduate programme aims to build foundational skills for future success in Engineering. You will explore potential career paths by working within the Engineering function, gaining foundational knowledge of LSEG, Financial Markets, and the business through a global induction and an 'Engineering Bootcamp' week. The programme includes group projects aligned with LSEG goals, a mid-point skills offsite, and opportunities to earn industry-recognized qualifications. Graduates join on a permanent basis and are aligned to an Engineering Team from day one for development within a secure framework.
Responsibilities
- Progress through a 12-month development journey aiming to build foundational skills.
- Build foundational knowledge of LSEG, Financial Markets and the business during your global induction.
- Participate in an 'Engineering Bootcamp' week to immerse you in the business and Engineering principles.
- Participate in group projects aligned to LSEG goals.
- Attend ‘Ignite’, the programme mid-point skills offsite to explore key knowledge areas and skills.
- Access opportunities to earn industry-recognized qualifications, including 5 study days during the programme.
- Connect with the global early careers community and contribute to wider society via CSR initiatives and volunteering opportunities.
- Develop within a secure framework by being aligned to an Engineering Team from day one.
- Apply deep technical and analytical expertise to build, operate and improve platforms, products, services and models.
- Work across the full lifecycle to solve complex problems, enable secure and resilient delivery, and drive continuous improvement in a product-led, data-driven environment.
- Focus on building and improving the software, infrastructure and systems that support products and services.
- Work across the full software and infrastructure lifecycle to deliver usable, maintainable applications.
- Identify and reduce risks to performance and availability.
- Develop tools and implement strategies to prevent problems before they occur and recover quickly from a failure.
- Keep platforms, applications, and services stable and reliable.
Requirements
- Must be a final year undergraduate or Masters student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline and have completed all the requirements of your course before August 2027 or a fresh graduate in class of 2026.
- Have a genuine curiosity about Technology and strive to pursue a Technology career path.
- Understand the breadth of the organisation, how it functions and the vital role that technology plays in supporting LSEG and clients.
- Have a strong interest in technology proven either via work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies.
- Demonstrate an interest in financial markets, built through studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
- Possess curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
- Ability to connect the dots and think strategically.
- Demonstrate focus, resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate with others, using communication skills.
- Have the rights to work in the US without restrictions for the duration of the graduate programme and join on a permanent basis from day one.
- Candidates with physics, engineering, electronic degrees who can demonstrate an interest in Technology as evidenced by extracurriculars or work experience, or personal projects can apply.
