About the Role
The Manager, Strategic Projects collaborates with the President & CEO of Cartier Japan to translate strategic priorities into actionable decisions and disciplined execution. This role works closely with the Japan Executive Committee, Cartier headquarters, and Richemont Group functions to facilitate effective stakeholder engagement, connect organizational perspectives, and ensure clear guidance and follow-through. The position owns and orchestrates core strategic management processes and supports cross-functional initiatives, bringing structure to complex topics, providing analysis, and strengthening communication.
Responsibilities
- Own and orchestrate the strategic planning and Market Action Plan process, setting themes, narratives, and structure.
- Partner with functional teams to coordinate analysis for business planning and follow-up actions.
- Provide structure to complex or ambiguous topics, synthesize analysis, and develop clear recommendations for CEO advisory.
- Support and lead strategic and CEO/Exco-sponsored projects from definition through execution.
- Participate in and lead Executive Committee meetings and off-sites, owning the annual management rhythm.
- Support clear decisions and follow-through on strategic initiatives.
- Connect functions, boutiques, Cartier and Group stakeholders, and Richemont teams.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration and contribute to organization-wide initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven ability to operate in complex, international, intercultural, and cross-functional environments.
- Absolute discretion and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and adaptability, designing own work for maximum value-add and responding effectively to circumstances.
- Relevant experience in corporate strategy, project management, and bridging the gap between top-level management and on-the-ground execution.
- Experience at a top consulting firm or equivalent in-house strategy teams (3+ years).
- Strong business judgment, analytical thinking, and technical skills.
- Curiosity and learning agility to develop a strong understanding of Cartier Japan’s business, culture, and stakeholder landscape.
- Full fluency in English and Japanese.
