About the Role

Opportunities have arisen for two Student Engagement Officers to join us, one in The City Law School and one in the School of Policy & Global Engagement. The combined university is committed to supporting students to pursue their career and personal ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and address barriers which prevent students from engaging with learning.
  • Provide administrative support for attendance and engagement monitoring, and other related processes.
  • Work with students and support services to identify and address concerns relating to students.
  • Ensure the reasonable adjustments policy is implemented effectively.

Requirements

  • Educated to A-level or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment, ideally in Higher Education or a similar setting.
  • Confident using IT systems, including MS Office packages, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Experience of student records systems (particularly SITS) is highly desirable.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to draft correspondence and reports.
  • Knowledge of data protection requirements.
  • Experience of handling sensitive information and situations.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to analyse problems and identify solutions.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
