About the Role
As an experienced and motivated all-round craftsman, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our properties, ensuring they remain in excellent condition and contribute to the value growth of our portfolio. You will play a key role in our strategy to perform services in-house rather than outsourcing, benefiting from short decision-making processes and significant creative freedom.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, renovation, and expansion work in properties independently.
- Prepare apartments for re-rental.
- Ensure properties are always in perfect condition.
- Ensure apartments are maintained and made rentable quickly, with high quality, and cost-effectively.
- Contribute directly to the value development of the portfolio.
- Perform renovation and maintenance work in apartments, commercial units, and common areas.
- Carry out painting, wallpapering, and varnishing work.
- Install, repair, and maintain floor coverings (parquet, laminate, vinyl, carpet, tiles).
- Perform drywall and interior finishing work, as well as small conversion and expansion measures.
- Carry out assembly work and small carpentry tasks, as well as minor repairs on doors, windows, walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Prepare residential units for re-rental, including support with apartment acceptance and handover.
- Support renovations and modernizations, as well as follow-up work and defect rectification.
- Perform minor repairs on sanitary and electrical installations within the scope of your qualifications.
- Act as a liaison between property management, tenants, and external service providers, and support the management of specialist companies.
- Independently organize, procure materials, and document executed work.
Requirements
- Completed training in a trade profession (e.g., painter and varnisher, drywall installer, carpenter, joiner, carpenter, bricklayer, plumbing and heating mechanic) or a comparable qualification.
- Alternatively, several years of professional experience as an all-round craftsman.
- Several years of experience in the renovation and refurbishment of apartments and buildings, ideally in Berlin's old buildings.
- Driver's license class B.
Skills
- Broad range of trade skills across multiple trades (painting, flooring, drywall, assembly).
- Proficient use of tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of relevant occupational safety regulations.
- Basic digital affinity for order and photo documentation via smartphone or tablet.
- Good German language skills.
