About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. This role is crucial in delivering excellent patient care and providing an exceptional guest experience. Medical Assistants at Marathon Health manage the full patient experience, encompassing both Medical Receptionist and clinical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
- Review patient medical information and gather updated health information.
- Take vitals, perform blood draws, administer injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
- Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
- Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
- Perform front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record requests, documentation, coordinating specialist visits and referrals, check-in, and check-out.
- Record accurate data in the medical record according to guidelines.
- Process test results and provide timely patient updates via e-message, mail, or phone.
- Participate in patient outreach to drive engagement.
- Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
- CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
Skills
- Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
Experience Level
- 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant
Education Level
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
- National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
- MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
Salary/Compensations
- $21.00-25.00/hr
