About the Role

Responsibilities
- Deliver meals, portion and serve dessert, wash dishes, and clean/sanitize kitchen equipment.
- Perform general and special cleaning duties in the kitchen, including floor cleaning.
- Comply with risk management policies for health and safety and GHS.
- Follow protocols for temperature logs, stock rotation, and inventory utilization.
- Remove garbage from the kitchen and maintain garbage containers.
- Organize the janitor room and monitor chemical supplies.
- Replenish sanitary supplies as needed.
- Receive deliveries and ensure accuracy.
- Stay updated with developments and best practices in the field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Successful completion of, or enrollment in, a recognized Food Service Worker Program.
- Current Food Handler Safety Certificate.
- Some experience in the food services industry.
- Ability to lift heavy industrial-size food trays, pots, and pans.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese is an asset.
- Must provide a recent satisfactory vulnerable sector police reference check and medical clearance certificate.
