About the Role

Amazon Operations Finance is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst to manage and invest in Amazon's dynamic delivery division. This role involves optimizing planning, investment, and execution from multiple perspectives, including speed, customer value, and long-term investment value. You will act as the "CFO" for Amazon's Fulfilment Centers, making critical investment decisions from financial and management viewpoints.

Responsibilities

Partner with the business team to evaluate financial structures and monitor performance.
Serve as a key advisor to senior leaders in Amazon operations.
Conduct financial evaluations and reviews of projects, including DCF simulations for business cases.
Perform spending reviews to ensure alignment with project goals during the implementation phase.
Plan on a quarterly, yearly, and long-term basis, ensuring accurate reflection of capex and opex.
Evaluate and analyze deviations between actual data and plans.
Actively participate in process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness, including implementing new operational tools.
Continuously seek opportunities for investment improvements and cost reductions.
Partner with operations leadership to implement identified improvement opportunities.

Requirements

5+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
5+ years of experience identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
5+ years of experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
5+ years of experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics, or a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
Fluent in English (speak, write, and read).
Fluent in Japanese (speak, write, and read).
