About the Role
The Agentic Setup team builds AI agents that transform complex product configuration and org troubleshooting into natural language, agent-assisted workflows. This role involves designing a core agent framework, contributing to a skills ecosystem, and building evaluation infrastructure to ensure trustworthy agent behavior at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a core agent framework that hosts specialized capabilities, orchestrates sub-tasks, and integrates into human workflows.
- Define the contract for reusable agent skills, focusing on API design, versioning, and composability.
- Build evaluation infrastructure to measure agent quality and catch regressions.
- Enable agents to efficiently find relevant records and context using structured queries, catalogs, and semantic search.
- Build and ship production-grade software using modern engineering practices and AI tools.
- Contribute to building and maintaining the shared system context for AI accuracy and reliability.
- Critically evaluate code, human or AI generated, for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and building large scale, distributed backend systems.
- Experience with API design, versioning, and building systems for multiple teams.
- Strong skills in at least one modern programming language and experience shipping production code.
- Ability to reason clearly about ambiguous, large scale systems and communicate tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated AI-first approach to engineering, using AI tools to accelerate development.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and ability to write precise, structured prompts.
- Experience building or working with AI agents, LLM-based systems, or evaluation infrastructure for non-deterministic outputs.
- Experience with retrieval systems such as semantic search or structured data catalogs.
- Experience migrating purpose-built automation into general, composable APIs.

- $178,900 - $246,000 annually in select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area
