About the Role

This role will support the Live Nation Promoter Division by ensuring efficient event ticketing, optimizing sales, managing inventory, and providing box office services. The Director will manage ticketing for various Live Nation events and lead a team of Event Ticketing Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with promoters, venues, ticket agents, and stakeholders to manage ticketing for concerts, arenas, stadiums, and festivals.
  • Prepare events for sale by confirming and configuring event details, including manifests, seating plans, price structures, presales, holds, allocations, booking fees, ticket stock, and text.
  • Administer events in HALO (in-house event operating system) and maximize ticket sales by monitoring and analyzing sales to manage inventory, ticket agents, and allocations.
  • Produce event sales forecasts, updates, charts, and final reconciliations.
  • Work on-site at Major Events, including weekends and evenings, overseeing and/or staffing Box Office operations.
  • Process internal ticket orders, including artist management and label requests, and raise invoice requisitions.
  • Provide line management for Event Ticketing Managers, including performance reviews, coaching, and daily support.
  • Identify areas for process improvement in daily tasks and recommend solutions to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with Ticketing colleagues on show assignments and workload management.
  • Act as joint deputy for the VP of Ticketing in their absence and provide other support as needed.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Previous management experience within a ticketing team, preferably for a promoter.
  • Proven experience in live event ticketing within a promoter environment, including stadium and festival level.
  • Adept in using ticketing systems, specifically reporting functions.
  • Proven commercial acumen within the promoter ticketing environment.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and proven relationship management capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent numeracy skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using Excel at an intermediate or above level.
  • Excellent literacy skills with a proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues up to Executive board-level.
  • Proactive and demonstrates initiative, drive, and commitment to achieve objectives.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Uses interpersonal skills to establish excellent rapport and working relationships.
  • Self-motivated and takes ownership for personal and technical skills development.
