About the Role
As an IP Applications Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced Applications and R&D engineers to support customers using our high-speed IP solutions. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with customer support, IP integration, and silicon bring-up activities while developing your technical skills in SerDes technologies, validation, and automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to help address customer challenges and contribute to improving the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain APIs and ATE vectors
- Provide first-line customer-facing post-sales support for Ethernet and PCIe serdes IPs
- Work closely with R&D and provide updates to PM when required
- Provide remote and onsite post-sales silicon bring up support to customers worldwide
- Work with internal teams to resolve customer issues
Requirements
- Currently studying Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, scripting skills in Python, Tcl, Perl
- Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog testbenches
- Experience working with PCIe and/or Ethernet SerDes specifications
- Experience working with lab equipment such as BERT, real-time scopes, sampling scopes, VNA, and/or protocol analyzers
- Experience with lab automation software such as Python and/or Labview
- Extensive working experience with one or more: firmware, low-level programming, optimizing embedded C code, hardware debug
- Experience with Jira, Agile/Scrum, Confluence
- Knowledge of EDA tools, strong understanding of simulators
