About the Role

Milton CAT is seeking a reliable Service Operations Coordinator to support earthmoving shop operations and work closely with the Shop Supervisor. This role involves coordinating service schedules, communicating with technicians and customers, and organizing repair workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and plays a key part in keeping heavy equipment operational.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and receive requests for service and quotes.
  • Confirm customer scheduling of work.
  • Assist in scheduling, routing, and assigning work to service technicians.
  • Open and update invoices and work orders.
  • Order parts for service shop and field service calls.
  • Assist with incremental repair quotes.
  • Assist with timecard entries.
  • Pass on leads for work to other departments.
  • Coordinate with the CSA Department to meet their needs.
  • Be flexible to work after hours when needed to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of pricing, promotion, distribution, inventory, customer lists, and financial reports.
  • Support supervisors in timely closing of service calls.
  • Cover absences in other positions within the Service department as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer use and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced service environment.
