About the Role
Perform full range of on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and customer call assistance on assigned products, including installation/de-installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networking issues (Printing and Scanning) on Windows/MAC OS. Load print drivers, clone files, transfer address books, and perform firmware upgrades. Travel locally daily to customer sites, manage territory work volume, and maintain high customer satisfaction. Occasionally travel for training. Communicate with management on issues. Complete training and service products effectively, requesting assistance when needed. Follow call handling procedures and meet productivity metrics. Show progress in technical abilities and troubleshooting. Utilize company assets for service literature. Maintain accurate truck inventory. Train customers on basic functions. Complete timesheet and expense reports accurately. Provide sales support as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform full range of on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and customer call assistance on assigned products (KM MFP and printers & Non-KM printers HP, Lexmark, etc.)
- Perform equipment installation/de-installations
- Configure and troubleshoot networking issues (Printing and Scanning) on Windows/MAC OS
- Load print drivers, clone files, transfer address books, and perform firmware upgrades
- Travel locally on a daily basis to various customer sites while managing territory work volume and maintaining a high level of customer communication and satisfaction
- Occasionally travel outside of the local area for training
- Communicate with management on customer or field issues
- Successfully complete training classes and effectively service assigned products, requesting assistance when necessary
- Follow proper call handling procedures while maintaining minimum required productivity measures
- Show measurable progress in technical abilities, troubleshooting techniques, and overall productivity
- Use current technology and company issued assets (Laptops, Cell phone, etc.) to access service literature
- Maintain accurate ASL truck inventory for designated territory
- Train customers on basic printing, scanning, and copying functions
- Accurately and timely complete weekly timesheet and expense reports
- Provide sales support as required (i.e., advising sales on problem accounts, service leads)
Requirements
- Must possess electrical/mechanical aptitude
- Familiar with printing from common business applications
- Proficient with Microsoft OS peer-to-peer and MAC OS client-side server environments
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize activities and schedule for effective results
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Understand territory parts budget and inventory control
- Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED required
- Technical School training preferred
- 1-2 years of experience related to technical/repair of business equipment
- Certified on N+ or equivalent
- Additional IT certifications or training are a plus
- Pass background, security, and drug test
- Position requires use of personal car eligible for vehicle maintenance compensation program
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
