We’re seeking a Bilingual Spanish Speaking Medicaid Specialist who is passionate about making a difference and driving impact. Responsibilities
- Receive referrals from referral sources
- Verify patients’ insurance coverage to determine eligibility
- Educate patients on available services
- Assist patients with scheduling assessments required to determine eligibility for care, including NYIA (Maximus)
- Submit referrals to MLTC plans for potential enrollment
- Determine services approved by insurance providers
- Ensure the agency receives authorization for MLTC cases and provide case details to the agency’s HHA Coordination team
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, oral and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Intermediate level computer skills, including creating and modifying documents using Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HHAexchange,and Salesforce.com
- Ability to key quickly and accurately
- Sedentary – ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with others to exchange information
