About the Role
Braun Intertec is seeking experienced Construction Materials Laboratory Technicians for a traveling position focused on Data Centers, Commercial Warehouses, and other remote projects. This role requires flexibility, dependability, and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform routine laboratory testing and data entry.
Responsibilities
- Receive and log concrete and soil samples, performing additional testing as needed.
- Perform and understand various laboratory test procedures.
- Manage the Braun Quality system for the laboratory.
- Input and maintain laboratory test data in LIMS lab management software.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating condition.
- Perform other miscellaneous laboratory tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50-75+ pounds.
- Proficient in running proctors, Atterberg Limits, #200 Wash, and breaking concrete cylinders.
- Must complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
Skills
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel extensively to remote project sites throughout the US.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn how to use laboratory management systems.
