Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve community occupancy levels and revenue in accordance with marketing and business plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and professional referral sources.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement monthly prospect and referral source activities and events.
  • Partner with Regional Sales management to develop and execute marketing plans and achieve community occupancy goals.
  • Supervise at least two Full-time Equivalent (FTE) Marketing Coordinator(s) and/or Sales Counselor(s).
  • Close sales by understanding needs and educating prospective residents, their families, and/or advisors about services and programs.
  • Respond promptly to all inquiries from referral sources, prospective residents, and families.
  • Provide appropriate community and company information to inquirers.
  • Utilize sales processes, systems, and forms for external and internal sales, tracking information, compiling data, and achieving occupancy goals.
  • Complete outside Business Development sales calls to meet or exceed established goals for professional leads per week.
  • Contact potential referral sources including legal and financial professionals, senior organizations, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, clergy, and medical insurance providers.
  • Provide information and conduct presentations about services, programs, market advantages, and availability.
  • Research and provide recommendations for marketing materials such as brochures and flyers.
  • Adhere to procedures in the development of advertising materials.
  • Monitor conversion ratios and analyze data to prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the lead management system to maximize sales effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
  • Minimum of five years sales experience, preferably in the retirement industry or medical or pharmaceutical sales, with a proven track record of generating and closing a high percentage of qualified leads is required.
  • Frequent car travel requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to operate personal computers and related software is required.
  • Previous experience with contact management database, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, tasks and projects in a dynamic environment is required.
  • Ability to build trust and act honestly in relationships with others is required.
  • Ability to assess and understand customers’ expectations, needs and circumstances is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and to treat people with dignity, respect, fairness and maturity is required.
  • Ability to effectively listen and communicate verbally and in writing is essential.

Salary/Compensations

  • Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience.
  • Role is also eligible for monthly and quarterly commission opportunities.
