About the Role

Seneca Resorts & Casinos is seeking a Kitchen Worker to be responsible for all operations within their specific area, ensuring quality and efficiency of service while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clean and organized kitchen areas, using proper cleaning chemicals.
  • Pick up daily checklists for the kitchen area.
  • Prepare tableware for washing, set up dishwashing machine, and wash all dishes and kitchen equipment.
  • Stack and store clean dishes and kitchen equipment in appropriate areas.
  • Thoroughly clean dishwashing equipment and all working areas.
  • Collect, wash, and restock clean pots on shelves.
  • Remove garbage and refuse, and mop and sweep floors.
  • Wash walls and ceiling tiles.
  • Sanitize all cooking equipment.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Maintain a neat personal appearance and uphold company appearance standards.
  • Perform detail cleaning of kitchen and peripheral equipment, including ovens, fryers, hot boxes, and coolers.
  • Maintain an understanding of information security policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment.
  • Attend all necessary meetings.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
  • Must be able to handle objects up to fifty pounds.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
  • Must be able to comply with all information security policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to comply with policies and procedures, daily memos, chemical labels, and other instructions.
