About the Role
Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and support impactful mission outcomes as a Financial Analyst Senior at GDIT. Here, you’ll enable the success of the most critical government missions and the growth of a meaningful career in Finance.
Responsibilities
- Create monthly and quarterly financial business reviews to provide insight into business performance.
- Prepare monthly cost forecasts, risk assessments, and variance analyses for senior management.
- Prepare financial cost reports for monthly close and forecasting processes.
- Analyze monthly forecasts, current quarter projections, and future projections.
- Develop long-range financial models in collaboration with the management team.
- Identify and manage risk and recovery responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure readiness and generate responses for audits.
- Provide financial guidance to the business to help drive profitable growth.
- Manage procurement and cost submissions, ensuring accuracy and review of proper backup information.
- Collaborate across organizations and functions, including sales, operations, line of business, and project management.
- Monitor and assess the financial impact of changes in indirect rates, rate pools, and allocations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced financial analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Finance or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
- 5+ years of related finance experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, specifically Excel formulas.
- Demonstrated experience with Oracle and OBIEE or other comparable Accounting systems.
- Government Contract experience.
- Experience with various contract types (T&M, Firm Fixed Price).
- Knowledge of billing and revenue cycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency.
- Flexibility to quickly adjust to changing priorities.
