About the Role
The Engineering Department on the Manhattan campus is seeking a part-time Stationary Engineer to join our team. The work schedule is 4 pm to 12 am, 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, and other auxiliary equipment for steam production.
- Perform periodic inspections of mechanical rooms to ensure proper operation of heat, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.
- Check pressure/temperature gauges.
- Assist in maintaining HVAC controls.
- Perform corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Perform diversified duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid City of New York, Department of Buildings, High-Pressure Boiler Engineer's License.
