About the Role

The SOREL Integrated Marketing Designer is an important member of the SOREL Global Brand Marketing Creative team, responsible for designing and producing comprehensive design executions to foster brand awareness, increase engagement, support sales growth, and enhance consumer lifetime value on sorel.com. This role translates creative concepts into visual designs, working cross-functionally to bring ideas from concept to execution and maintaining/enhancing the creative marketing strategy with a focus on digital channel reach.

Responsibilities

  • Work within seasonal brand guidelines to create layouts and design executions that reinforce SOREL’s brand voice.
  • Produce design and production for e-com pages, product graphics, banners, static and rich media banner ads, email campaigns, retail graphics, and presentation decks.
  • Work across multiple mediums including graphic design, web design, video, and animation.
  • Navigate processes and quick turn deadlines across multiple platforms.
  • Create paid media assets, including light touch video edits and static executions.
  • Communicate and present design concepts for approval to internal and external departments.
  • Design window displays, posters, and in-store signs.
  • Translate product positioning, existing research, and online Marketing strategies into effective designs.
  • Design beautiful, mobile-friendly email marketing campaigns.
  • Broaden and enhance knowledge by keeping up to date with digital innovations and competitors.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of progressive design marketing experience either in-house or agency.
  • Multidisciplinary visual design skill set with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong production design skillset with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective design.
  • Excellent Macintosh computer skills including expert level knowledge in Figma, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of web design issues, including browser usability and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Strong work ethic and personal accountability.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with a digital marketing team.
  • Intimate involvement in the execution of a digital brand campaign.
  • Strong design and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Solid foundation in typography, layout, and design.
  • Strong knowledge in color, scale, contrast, balance, and hierarchy.
  • Experience with transitions, animation, motion design, and dynamic interaction.
  • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills, along with presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously.
  • Interact with co-workers in a professional manner that supports the department and promotes a positive work environment.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, management, vendors, customers, and clients, adapting to various personalities and circumstances.
