About the Role
Amazon Japan is seeking a Senior Specialist for procurement and purchasing operations within fulfillment centers. This role is crucial for achieving Amazon's rapid delivery speed by coordinating procurement goals with internal and external stakeholders and managing achievable outcomes. You will be involved in equipment design, introduction, budget creation, ordering, process management, cost structure analysis, cost reduction, supplier development, and VA/VE activities for both existing and new fulfillment centers.
Responsibilities
- Construct new solutions for the logistics industry and increased product types.
- Integrate with suppliers and technical departments to manage costs and delivery dates.
- Formulate and implement effective supplier strategies, including site audits.
- Coordinate procurement and purchasing business goals with related internal and external departments.
- Manage equipment design for new fulfillment centers.
- Oversee equipment introduction for new fulfillment centers.
- Collaborate with technical departments on equipment design and introduction.
- Prepare budgets for new fulfillment centers.
- Manage ordering processes for new fulfillment centers.
- Oversee process management for new fulfillment centers.
- Conduct cost structure analysis.
- Implement cost reduction activities.
- Confirm the validity of estimates.
- Develop new suppliers.
- Engage in VA/VE activities.
Requirements
- Experience in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business, IT or any other procurement related career.
- Experience in cost/benefit analysis of project proposals.
