About the Role
We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join Microsoft Security, focusing on leading AI-driven security solutions and protecting AI applications. You will work with customers to deliver technical value, drive adoption of Microsoft's cloud and security platforms, and accelerate digital transformation in the AI era. Approximately 75% of your time will be customer-facing, with 25% dedicated to continuous learning and skill development.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the sales process, driving technical wins for security opportunities.
- Maintain a deep technical understanding of Microsoft security architectures, solutions, and technologies.
- Coordinate weekly with sellers and managers to prioritize opportunities and engagements.
- Proactively engage with customers, building credibility as a trusted advisor for Microsoft Security.
- Develop strategies and recommendations to improve client security posture and tailor Microsoft messaging.
- Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and architecture design sessions.
- Demonstrate and oversee proof of concepts, present architecture patterns, and prove capabilities.
- Drive cross-workload support for Microsoft security solutions.
- Engage and scale with internal and external teams throughout the sales cycle.
- Engage partners in sell-with scenarios and support their technical capabilities.
- Stay current with technology and share knowledge and best practices to enable business growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience developing and delivering customer demos/proofs of concept for Security across competitive offerings.
- Native or business-level Japanese proficiency.
