About the Role
This role is responsible for executing trade capture operations across domestic and global markets for all segments within RBC Investor Services. It supports accurate and timely trade processing while ensuring operational efficiency, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on leveraging technical knowledge to optimize and automate procedures, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen processes. Teamwork, knowledge sharing, and collaboration are key to ensuring effective coverage and supporting a high-performing and respectful team environment.
Responsibilities
- Efficient and accurate processing of client trades including repair, validation and manual input
- Efficient and accurate processing of client cancellations/corrections
- Leverage technical skills to optimize and automate operating procedures ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
- Contribute to an environment of continuous improvement by assessing workflow, processes, and procedures for maximum efficiency and quality
- Follow preset procedures ensuring compliance with regulatory, corporate audit, and risk management requirements
- Collaborate with management on decisions and discretions required to mitigate risks
- Share knowledge and client exceptions to ensure proper coverage
- Support and adopt new initiatives
Requirements
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Solid knowledge of Trade Processing principles
- Very strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Analytical and detail-oriented qualities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet very strict deadlines
- Familiarity with RBC systems (nice-to-have)
- Understanding of domestic and global market structures (nice-to-have)
- Cross-functional experience working with different teams (nice-to-have)
