About the Role
This role involves producing the Group's tax balances accurately and on time, ensuring compliance obligations are met to a high standard. The focus is on Entity Tax Reporting and UK-specific Corporate Tax compliance, including delivery of UK Corporate Tax and Corporate Interest Restriction Returns, RDEC & Capital Allowance claims, and managing the HMRC relationship. The role requires overseeing and collaborating with an outsource partner.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and produce monthly management account results.
- Produce Haleon External Tax Results, including entity and consolidation Tax Reporting.
- Oversee and operate associated SoX controls.
- Own the technical elements of all Tax Reporting processes, adopting a continuous improvement mindset.
- Oversee Tax Service Team delivery of recurring Reporting processes.
- Coordinate the Group’s cash tax forecasting.
- Manage all elements of the UK Corporate Tax compliance lifecycle, including CIR, CFC reviews, QIP calculations, and WHT returns.
- Oversee Compliance Outsource Providers regarding tax balances in statutory accounts and Corporate Tax compliance obligations.
- Manage the relationship with HMRC, including coordination of the annual Business Risk Review.
- Provide ad hoc tax accounting analysis on intra-group funding, dividends, and company reorganisations.
Requirements
- Strong accounting and tax background (ACA or equivalent) with ideally 2 years PQE.
- Broad understanding of UK corporate tax compliance principles and international tax awareness.
- Ability to understand and utilize SAP accounting platforms.
- Ability to work with large datasets and a proven analytic approach.
- Experience with Alteryx is desirable.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) to deal with senior stakeholders and finance contacts globally.
- Ability to challenge current thinking and implement process improvement.
- High attention to detail, resourcefulness, flexibility, and articulacy.
