About the Role
Microsoft’s Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying the growth of Microsoft's Cloud and AI businesses. Cloud Logistics plays a critical role in delivering the world’s computer through an AI-powered, sustainable cloud supply chain. We are seeking a Senior Manager of Cloud Logistics to build the future-state logistics network supporting Microsoft's rapidly growing cloud and AI infrastructure footprint.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute strategic initiatives to improve the scalability, resilience, and performance of Microsoft's Cloud Logistics processes and operations.
- Lead strategic initiatives shaping the future of Microsoft's global logistics network.
- Define and drive logistics transformation programs focused on operational excellence, process improvement, new product introduction readiness, and AI adoption.
- Influence organizational priorities and align stakeholders around future-state logistics capabilities.
- Identify systemic challenges and operational gaps using data, analytics, and business insights to develop scalable solutions.
- Lead logistics readiness activities for new products and suppliers, ensuring logistics requirements are incorporated early in program design.
- Establish governance mechanisms to track progress, manage risks, resolve escalations, and drive accountability.
- Lead AI strategy and adoption initiatives across Cloud Logistics to enhance operations and processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and develop AI-driven solutions for logistics challenges.
- Drive organizational adoption of AI through enablement programs, change management, and strategic leadership.
- Connect business objectives with scalable logistics solutions, influence stakeholders, and translate long-term vision into measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, operations-related roles, or engineering OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Skills
- Proven ability to define strategy and translate vision into executable roadmaps with measurable business impact.
- Understanding of logistics networks, supplier ecosystems, supply chain operations, and process optimization principles.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives across global organizations.
- Experience influencing stakeholders and driving alignment in highly matrixed environments.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, analytics, and digital technologies to improve business performance.
- Executive communication, stakeholder management, and program leadership skills.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution, driving results in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated agility and resilience in adapting to evolving business needs, navigating ambiguity, and leading through change.

- USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area base pay range)
