About the Role
The Pharmacy Vaccine Account Representative (PVAR) is a member of the Vaccine Account Team, supporting the Company's Vaccines customer engagement model. The PVAR engages with assigned customers to improve public health by focusing on population health goals and high-potential business opportunities. They align products and services, support pull-through activities, and demonstrate value and improved health outcomes to healthcare professionals and patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct customer business reviews, discussing contract financial impact and progress of targeted vaccine programs.
- Maintain complete knowledge of company contract terms and conditions.
- Optimize vaccine purchases and inventory based on contracts, historical patterns, office protocols, vaccination goals, and seasonality.
- Establish and track account performance metrics to evaluate progress and adjust plans.
- Apply knowledge of vaccines, competitive brands, and immunization recommendations to support standard of care and vaccination protocols.
- Manage customer supply, product transition, and back-order challenges.
- Build trust with customers and demonstrate value in selling situations to improve health outcomes.
- Collaborate with customers using relationship management skills and customer insights.
- Change customer behaviors by understanding beliefs and experiences.
- Create a compelling rationale for the value of Company Vaccines and Commercial Offers.
- Ask strategic questions to obtain information on customer healthcare needs and position Company vaccines and offers.
- Divide assigned customer population into groups with similar characteristics and buying behaviors.
- Evaluate and prioritize business across assigned customer segments.
- Allocate marketing and field resources to drive execution of sales and marketing plans.
- Communicate Vaccine clinical information and Commercial Offers meaningfully and relevantly to each customer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 0-3 years of sales experience OR a minimum of a high school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant work experience (professional sales, marketing, military, or healthcare/scientific field).
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of sales experience OR a minimum of a high school diploma with at least 6 years of equivalent experience (professional sales, marketing, military, or non-sales healthcare/scientific field).
- Valid Driver's license.
- Demonstrated aptitude to excel in current or previous educational or professional roles.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to convey technical concepts accurately and clearly.
- Prior experience working in a technical/scientific field or healthcare environment.
- Previous sales, account management, consultative, or customer service experience.
- Experience developing and executing a plan for engaging customers and meeting customer needs.
- Understanding of Marketing/Sales &/or Marketing/Sales Support Functions/Operations.
- Ability to analyze metrics to assess progress against objectives.
