About the Role
Mae is seeking a Product Manager to own and advance product areas impacting members, doulas, and internal operational teams. You will guide the development of scalable, user-centered solutions that drive engagement, revenue realization, and measurable health outcomes in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead Product Strategy for Assigned Areas: Define and maintain the strategic roadmap for your assigned product areas, grounded in user need and aligning with Mae’s business and operational goals.
- Drive Discovery & Problem Solving: Conduct structured discovery and translate insights into clearly written problem statements, hypotheses, and user stories that guide design and engineering execution.
- Collaborate Across Internal Teams: Partner closely with internal business and customer-facing teams to deeply understand workflows, identify pain points, and translate feedback into scalable product solutions.
- Leverage Data & Insights: Use both quantitative and qualitative research data to evaluate impact, inform prioritization, and iterate on solutions that improve performance and outcomes.
- Deliver Seamless Execution: Work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, UX Design, Data, and Engineering to ensure initiatives are scoped, prioritized, and delivered with quality and clarity.
- Ensure Post-Release Readiness: Support the launch execution, rollout, and adoption of key product initiatives by aligning with Product Marketing and Programs on communication, training, and feedback loops.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Apply a continuous improvement mindset — learning from users, data, and team collaboration to refine processes, product experiences, and operational impact over time.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally managing tech-enabled services in a highly regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, education, financial services).
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Experience owning the full product development lifecycle — from discovery and definition through execution, launch, and post-launch iteration.
- Highly organized and effective at managing complex projects with multiple workstreams.
- Resourceful and a quick learner who can rapidly develop subject-matter understanding through independent research and collaboration with internal experts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Embraces a culture of learning, iteration, and operational excellence.
- Takes full ownership of assigned product areas and drives work forward independently.

About the Company
- Mae is a venture-backed digital health solution on a mission to improve the health and quality of life for mothers, babies, and those who love them.
- Mae has created a space where complete digital care meets culturally competent on-the-ground support.
- We address access gaps and strengthen physical and emotional well-being through continuous engagement, risk assessment, early symptom awareness, and a community-led support model.
- Digital solutions to address cultural deficits in care are at the forefront of femtech innovation, and Mae is quickly gaining traction with healthcare payers as a viable solution to address the implicit, explicit, and structural biases that hinder equitable maternal health.
- By addressing whole-person care and focusing on self-advocacy, education, and community, we aim to improve outcomes for mothers and birthing people while reducing clinical costs of care at scale.
