About the Role

This role is crucial for supporting pharmacy operations by assisting with scheduling, dispatching, record keeping, and customer outreach. You will play a key part in coordinating deliveries, managing shipments, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials, contributing to our mission of creating better health for all Canadians.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling and dispatching responsibilities, including record keeping.
  • Provide back-up support and organization for Pharmacy operations.
  • Handle filing and general administration.
  • Conduct outreach to customers and patients via phone, text, or email for scheduling deliveries.
  • Support patients with inquiries regarding order status and deliveries.
  • Coordinate deliveries and route orders using logistics software.
  • Prepare orders for shipment according to protocols and coordinate third-party logistics pickup and drop-off.
  • Manage office duties including cleaning, ordering and stocking supplies, and shipping/receiving.
  • Support continuous improvement and optimization of shipping/receiving and logistics processes.
  • Receive shipping orders and perform quality control, including cold chain procedures.
  • Prepare shipping labels and packages following delivery and cold chain protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of pharmacy and shipping materials and order new supplies.
  • Assist with deliveries during working hours or to cover staff during holidays.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipping products and coordinate the flow of materials.
  • Dispose of cardboard boxes daily.
  • Maintain open communication with drivers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate with courier customer support as needed.
  • Manage customer service interactions between clinical staff, patients, and clinics from a shipping/logistics standpoint.
  • Check and ensure all medications are ready and packed for delivery each morning.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the logistics and warehouse team at other GreenShield sites.
  • Act as a representative of the GreenShield Pharmacy.
  • Care for designated GreenShield automobiles.
  • Assist with day-to-day duties as delegated by the pharmacy manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized and self-driven.
  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse environment.
  • Must have a valid G license.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
