About the Role

Taylor DM Brands is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join the team in Amsterdam, NY. This role involves performing various shipping, handling, receiving, storing, and distribution duties for equipment, materials, and merchandise.

Responsibilities

Performs physical and administrative duties in shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing items.
Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices, records shortages, rejects damaged goods, and enters data into the inventory control system.
Manages raw and finished goods inventory in the warehouse.
Pulls product from the warehouse for the production floor.
Picks, wraps, and packs products for shipment.
Uses various shipping systems for FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
Adjusts to a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
Assists in monthly inventory cycle counting.
May operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
Performs other warehouse and shipping duties as needed.
Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping.
Completes shipping and receiving reports.

Requirements

Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to work independently and problem-solve.
Ability to operate or be trained on material handling equipment.
Comfortable with heights up to 35'.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials.
Frequently required to move inside the facility.
Regularly move up to 50+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry).
