About the Role
Golden State is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Finance team. This role is crucial for processing vendor invoices and payments accurately and efficiently, supporting the organization's financial health. The position is full-time and onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper general ledger coding.
- Review and validate purchase order coding for accurate expense classification.
- Prepare and initiate authorized vendor payments promptly.
- Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and manage the Vendor Master File, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review and approve employee expense reports according to company T&E policies.
- Assist with annual 1099 filing preparation and ensure compliance.
- Act as a liaison for vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
- Proven experience with AP automation, ERP, and T&E management software.
- Familiarity with AP internal controls, segregation of duties, and vendor master data security.
- Exceptional attention to detail, superior data entry skills, strong communication abilities, and excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated high degree of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
