About the Role

This role focuses on building an AI-powered self-service analytics suite for the People team, enabling data-driven decisions. You will drive adoption through a hybrid strategy, empowering the People team with pre-packaged HR dashboards and insights using Visier, while also enabling them to build their own content using Claude connected to the same data.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Visier Platform: configuration, metric definitions, security models, release management, and vendor relationship.
  • Build and extend Visier content (metrics, boards, alerts) and onboard new data subjects.
  • Manage the integration between the data platform and Visier, partnering with Data Engineering.
  • Own data quality: define checks, triage failures, and drive fixes to the source system.
  • Ensure consistency between AI-assisted answers and Visier dashboards.
  • Document data models, business logic, and known caveats to make the platform usable for non-analysts and AI tools.
  • Design access and aggregation rules for sensitive people data, including compensation and performance.
  • Act as an embedded partner to TA, Total Rewards, People Ops, and Business Partners.
  • Synthesize findings and communicate insights up to the executive level.
  • Move the function from ad hoc pulls to a durable reporting cadence focused on organizational health and talent delivery.
  • Build and run enablement (training, office hours, documentation) to raise the data literacy of the HR function.
  • Teach the HR function how to explore data, interrogate AI insights, verify sources, and escalate issues.
  • Help build and deliver the self-service analytics roadmap.
  • Translate business questions into deliverables and identify process or systems fixes.
  • Connect the dots between business objectives and data.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in people analytics, HR technology, or a closely related role.
  • Hands-on Visier experience: must have completed at least one implementation or significant capability expansion.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort working directly in a cloud data warehouse.
  • Fluency in the HR domain: deep understanding of recruiting, compensation, performance, and org structure, including how underlying systems record this data.
  • Demonstrated experience enabling others through training, documentation, or converting reporting backlogs to self-service.
  • Pragmatic approach to data governance, balancing standardized dashboards with client exploration.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent workstreams, and handle sensitive data with discretion.
  • Analytics Engineering capability: Experience with dbt, version control, CI/CD, and dimensional modeling is a plus.
  • Understanding of exposing warehouse data to LLMs or agentic interfaces (semantic layers, MCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with specific stack (Rippling, Workday, Ashby, Lattice, TeamOhana, BigQuery) is a plus.
  • Experience with other BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma) alongside Visier is a plus.
  • Experience in high-growth or infrastructure environments where change is constant is a plus.
