About the Role

As the Senior Product Manager for Italy Market Expansion at Clio, you will lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap execution of solutions that help Clio successfully expand into the Italian market. You will own the end to end product portfolio and customer experience for Italy, balancing global scale with local nuance. This role suits someone who thrives in complexity, builds for diverse users, and gets into the weeds.

Responsibilities

  • Own Clio's product portfolio and customer experience in Italy end to end, from first touch through onboarding, daily practice management, billing, and support.
  • Ensure gaps in products owned by other teams are closed.
  • Be accountable for the quality of Clio's customer experience in Italy as a whole.
  • Maintain a single, current view of what breaks today, what is missing, and what has been committed for Italy, and make that view legible to leadership.
  • Develop a roadmap in conjunction with peers that moves the business forward and evangelize it throughout the company.
  • Own the delivery of features in the roadmap while ensuring they deliver on the desired business outcome.
  • Drive product readiness for the Italian market, including localization, multi-lingual support, regulatory requirements, and market-specific workflows.
  • Set a clear vision for what Clio looks like in Italy and ship toward it in weeks rather than quarters.
  • Make decisions with imperfect information, put something in front of customers, and correct from what is learned.
  • Validate with real customers before building at scale, and commit to regulatory deadlines by narrowing scope rather than moving the date.
  • Parallelize workstreams when possible.
  • Understand how lawyers in Italy actually work, including Italian civil law, court processes, fee setting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track regulatory surface that touches the product, including Italian electronic invoicing, split payment VAT, and professional rules, and translate it into requirements.
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with practitioners, bar associations, and local partners.
  • Reason about how the platform is built, including data models, currency, tax, payments, and locale.
  • Hold design discussions with engineering about cardinality, extensibility, and migration.
  • Differentiate between problems needing local configuration versus platform capability, and advocate for platform capability when appropriate.
  • Work AI-first by default, using AI for customer research synthesis, competitive and regulatory analysis, requirements drafting, data querying, and prototyping.
  • Build personal working systems using prompts, tools, and lightweight agents or scripts.
  • Verify AI output against primary sources, especially for regulatory and legal questions.
  • Quantify the case for Italy to win a place on central teams' roadmaps.
  • Build business cases in the currency that central team leadership measures it on, name tradeoffs, and find asks that serve their goals alongside yours.
  • Escalate on a stated trigger rather than on frustration, bringing clear recommendations and the cost of inaction to leadership.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Operations.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across a matrixed organization with clarity and diplomacy.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Italian and in English.
  • 4-5 years of experience in product management.
  • Working knowledge of the Italian legal market, including Italian civil law, how local firms operate, and the regulatory requirements that apply to them.
  • Proven track record of independently taking multiple products or features from ideation to launch in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience owning a product area end to end, including outcomes that depended on teams outside your own.
  • Demonstrated expertise in localization and multi-lingual product development.
  • Experience building or managing multilingual applications or internationalization projects, and expanding products to other countries and languages.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to reason about system design, data models, and platform tradeoffs with engineering.
  • A demonstrated AI-native working style, with specific examples of how you use AI in your product practice.
  • Evidence of winning roadmap commitments from teams that do not report to you and that carry no accountability for your outcome.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Experience using data to inform decisions without succumbing to analysis paralysis.
  • Genuine ability to put yourself in our customers' shoes and operate from a place of empathy.
  • Experience working across time zones and cultures, with a customer-first approach.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • At least 2 or 3 failures under your belt, the learnings of which you can bring to Clio.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team without ego.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
