About the Role

Uprise Health is transforming the delivery and accessibility of mental and behavioral healthcare. This role provides confidential support to SFMTA employees through the Peer Assistance Program (PAP), focusing on individuals struggling with substance abuse, work, or life stressors.

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Greet walk-in employees and secure a Peer Assistant.
  • Create, manage, and review calendars for scheduled events and presentations.
  • Send reminders to Peer Staff for upcoming events.
  • Check in with peers and Program Manager for daily tasks.
  • Forward all calls to the Peer Assistant On Duty at the end of the business day.
  • Create and lead agendas during weekly staff meetings, following through on action items.
  • Prepare biweekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on Peer Assistance Program data.
  • Review Peer Staff timesheets for accuracy, approval, and submission.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Crisis Response Program, collecting employee information and coordinating alerts to EAP.
  • Coordinate monthly safety meetings.
  • Order necessary supplies monthly.
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner, ensuring all inquiries are addressed by the end of the business day.
  • Take messages and refer critical incident calls to the peer on duty.
  • Provide details including Operator ID, bus line/location, employee location, and responding inspector information for critical incidents.
  • Immediately notify the peer on duty and provide all details in writing for critical incidents.
  • Support staff in completing administrative tasks, including research and community resource calls.
  • Transfer phone to the peer on call during scheduled breaks and remove call-forwarding upon return.
  • Maintain office equipment, such as refilling the copier with paper.
  • Transfer the main phone line to the peer on call at 5:00 PM.
  • Collect, assemble, and aggregate raw data from Peer Staff to compile a monthly report using Excel and Word.
  • Assist the Wellness Team with monthly mailers, including stuffing envelopes and printing letters.
  • Assist in organizing and assembling the Peer Connections Newsletter bi-annually.
  • Assist in organizing the annual Peer Open House.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the San Francisco, CA area.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week.
  • Must be available to work from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
  • Must be able to create, manage, and edit calendars in Outlook.
  • Must be able to create, manage, and edit Excel spreadsheets.
  • Must possess strong research skills, including online navigation and making phone calls to outside resources.
  • Must have a strong sensitivity and understanding of different cultures and communication styles in the workplace.
