About the Role
Design and model moderately complex projects, detailing designs and collaborating with Structural Engineering teams to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and model moderately complex projects.
- Detail project designs.
- Collaborate with Structural Engineering teams.
- Prepare 3D models and engineered plans and details.
- Follow design codes and governmental regulations.
- Create drafting models using CAD and 3D Modeling software.
- Identify and address potential issues promptly.
- Aid engineering teams in preparing designs or construction plans in Revit.
- Model structural design layouts.
- Model buildings and equipment.
- Prepare 3D coordination models for construction teams.
- Draft structural steel fabrication detailed plans.
- Utilize AutoCAD 3D or Revit on a weekly, if not daily, basis.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related professional experience or other comparable experience.
- Experience using Autodesk CAD and 3D Modeling Software (AutoCAD 3D, Revit, Etc.).
- Knowledge and experience in architectural design and layout using Revit or other similar software is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge and experience in structural design and layout using Revit or other similar software is preferred, but not required.
- Structural steel fabrication detailing experience is preferred, but not required.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
- Goal-oriented with a desire for continuous improvement.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
- Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
