About the Role
Catholic Charities of Long Island is seeking Direct Service Professionals to provide care and support to developmentally disabled group home residents, contributing to their well-being and offering them dignity and hope.
Responsibilities
- Transport and safeguard residents during outings.
- Coach residents in skills development and administer medications.
- Provide person-centered care, including personal care as needed.
- Perform household maintenance tasks, including meal preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid NYS Driver's License.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring stooping, crouching, and 2-person lifting up to 250 pounds.
- Ability to maintain personal safety and respond calmly and non-confrontationally during resident outbursts.

Salary/Compensations
- $21. per hour (Weekend differential pay is an additional $1.00/hr.)
