About the Role
The Custodial Assistant will ensure office spaces, kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas meet a high standard of cleanliness and are well maintained, reporting to the Office & Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, sanitize, organize, and well-stock office and shared employee spaces, including office spaces and equipment, conference rooms, warehouse office, kitchen, warehouse breakroom, and office and warehouse bathrooms.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and replenish kitchen, breakroom, office, and bathroom supplies.
- Maintain the Welcome Center in a clean, organized, and presentable condition.
- Support Facilities with kitchen and breakroom amenities, uniforms, office and first aid supplies.
- Assist with monthly eye-wash station and fire extinguisher checks.
- Provide support to the Warehouse Custodian as needed.
- Provide Facilities support for organizational events as needed.
- Clean and maintain office spaces and equipment, conference rooms, warehouse office, kitchen, warehouse breakroom, and office and warehouse bathrooms.
- Replenish kitchen, breakroom, office, and bathroom supplies.
- Manage dishes: load and empty the dishwasher; tidy and organize glassware, cookware, and utensils; and wash coffee carafes.
- Clean office and warehouse refrigerators on Fridays.
- Clean and maintain the Welcome Center.
- Assist with kitchen and breakroom amenities, uniforms, office and first aid supplies.
- Assist with monthly eye-wash station and fire extinguisher checks.
- Support the Warehouse Custodian as needed.
- Provide event support as needed.
- Inspect assigned offices, breakroom, kitchen, restrooms, and common areas daily to identify special cleaning or maintenance needs.
- Complete projects requiring special attention in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Professional with a high standard of cleanliness.
- Passionate about the mission to end hunger.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize job responsibilities.
- Ability to work and interact well with individuals (staff and volunteers) from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds in a culturally diverse environment.
