About the Role
The Finance Analyst is an entry-level role focused on supporting project accounting and finance functions. This position will gain skills in executing processes and utilizing tools related to cost and revenue components such as labor, construction equipment, materials, and subcontracts. The Finance Analyst will be an integral part of the month-end close process and assist with preparing financial reporting packages for project management.
Responsibilities
- Adapt to project needs and assist in other areas as required.
- Foster relationships with the Operations team and learn about the work.
- Understand payroll and HR process workflows, and master related systems.
- Comprehend the process for purchasing goods and receiving/paying invoices.
- Demonstrate understanding of the accounts payable process and troubleshoot issues.
- Understand intercompany and client billing processes and their impact on cash management.
- Ensure accuracy of all costs and cost adjustments according to company standards and accounting rules.
- Review costs, quantity claims, budget structure, and exception reports for accurate reporting.
- Identify, adjust, and review forecast and budget issues for proper cost and revenue recognition.
- Provide excellent customer service and offer assistance to team members.
- Maintain an organized work environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly.
- Adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program and implement EEO and labor laws at the project level.
Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- 0-1 years of financial/data analysis experience.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key Excel functions is preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to freely access all parts of a construction site in varying climates and environments.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Productively work and meet deadlines.

- Perform work safely and effectively.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Work during normal operating hours and overtime/weekends as required.
