About the Role
The Branch Manager will exhibit effective leadership while overseeing and managing all aspects of branch operations, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies. This role involves creating branch strategy, fostering a positive work environment, and driving production results. The manager will cultivate relationships within the community and with business partners to expand the FourLeaf brand, and will be responsible for acquiring and servicing deposit and lending relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead a dynamic team that embraces a culture of change, agility, inclusiveness, and innovation.
- Consistently demonstrate positive leadership attributes such as collaboration, effective communication, decision making, problem resolution, crisis management, initiative, and high emotional intelligence.
- Engage with the team to support a positive environment, remove obstacles, and drive strong Employee Engagement (EOS) and Member Satisfaction (MSAT) results.
- Inspire teammates to enhance leadership abilities to build bench strength.
- Empower the supervisory team to contribute to the success of the branch.
- Build strong relationships with teammates and consistently work to create a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with the supervisory team to effectively source, hire, and onboard new employees.
- Transfer learning to the team through direct development or leveraging other training/development opportunities.
- Lead coaching and career development conversations with direct reports and ensure supervisors do the same.
- Partner with Retail Leadership and Human Resources to address staffing, employment decisions, talent management, training, performance management, disciplinary actions, compensation, and payroll.
- Identify trends through daily observations and member surveys to create and implement action plans for exceptional member experiences.
- De-escalate heightened member situations with emphasis on problem solving and service recovery, providing support to supervisors.
- Develop teammates to provide exceptional member experiences by cultivating relationships, identifying member needs, and making beneficial recommendations.
- Ensure the team strengthens their ability to communicate with members to share knowledge and information.
- Oversee the management of branch traffic flow, including scheduling, lobby tracking, appointment assignments, and managing teller and drive-up traffic.
- Collaborate with AVP of Retail, AVP of Business Banking, and Sales and Service Sr. Manager to develop a consultative sales approach for the team.
- Ensure the team can effectively process transactions using FourLeaf systems in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of operational procedures and policies to assist with complex tasks.
- Provide direction and guidance to the supervisory team to make sound decisions and develop their direct reports.
- Participate in organizational initiatives representing Retail, collaborating with other Branch Managers and Retail Leadership.
- Represent FourLeaf in the community through various affiliations.
- Act as a liaison between members and different business areas to address risks, member complaints, issues, and concerns.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch.
- Collaborate with the supervisory team in maintaining branch controls.
- Stay abreast of and adhere to policies, procedures, and banking regulations.
- Identify and manage emerging risks and fraud trends to minimize exposure.
- Comply with all aspects of Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and Office of Foreign Asset Control.
- Partner with Retail Leadership, BSA/Compliance, and Fraud to resolve potential fraud/security concerns and identify/report potential risks.
- Manage the overall success of the branch, Retail Banking, and organizational goals by meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Collaborate with the supervisory team to create, implement, and manage strategies for deposit, lending, and income growth.
- Ensure clear objectives are set for the branch and each employee, monitor progress, and track results.
- Conduct consistent analysis of branch production reports and activities to identify opportunities.
- Support promotions and business development efforts through in-branch contests, sales promotions, and marketing campaigns.
- Participate in community events and business organizations.
Requirements
- College Degree strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of financial or equivalent sales and service experience.
- 3-5 years of supervisory and leadership experience.
- 3-5 years of credit or lending experience.
- Medallion Signature Guarantor within 3 months.
- FourLeaf Lending Product Certification within 6 to 12 months.
- National Mortgage Licensing System within 3 months.
- Obtain Notary License within 6 months.
- PC, Windows, and Internet proficiency.
- High emotional intelligence, decision-making, excellent communication, relationship building, change management, time management, supervisor employee and member experience skills.
