About the Role
The Sr. Accountant will support new partners with a successful transition to becoming a FirstCall operating company. This role will work closely with the Integration Controller to support a new company’s integration into FirstCall’s accounting organization for the first 90-100 days post-acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Monthly financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including all journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliation schedules
- Communication with 3rd party vendors on the Purchase Price Accounting and Quality of Earnings rollfoward
- Maintaining proper accounting procedures and controls and related documentation
- Working with office administration team and providing accounting guidance
- Implementing process improvements in the finance functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- Understanding of financial close process including the preparation journal entries, reconciliation schedules and financial statement package
- Deep understanding of percentage of completion (ASC 606) accounting
- High degree of professionalism and strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
- Experience with multiple accounting systems
- Background in trades environment: construction, electrical, HVAC, a plus
