About the Role

Intelligent Delivery and Innovation (iDi) is KPMG’s innovative Canadian Corporate Tax team, bridging traditional tax work with technology. Focusing on corporate tax compliance and provision engagements, iDi operates with people, process, and technology in mind. Responsibilities

  • Prepare working paper files, tax provisions, corporate income tax returns, tax elections and information returns for corporate clients.
  • Provide client support for CRA audits and inquiries, follow-up on Notice of Assessments and communicate with the CRA on various tax matters.
  • Perform tax research and analysis as part of the tax provision and tax compliance process on a wide variety of tax issues.
  • Collaborate with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners on client engagements and assist with tax planning strategies.
  • Maintain client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns and schedules.
  • Interact with clients and other KPMG team members to support engagement delivery.
  • Participate in product design discussions on tax processes and user testing of various tax technologies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance tax delivery through technology.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in a public accounting firm
  • Successful completion of the CFE and CPA designation obtained or in progress
  • Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in the In-Depth Tax Course
