About the Role

This role is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of business operations and prepare you for future leadership positions within the company. You will manage key decision-making meetings, develop supporting materials, lead projects that span multiple teams, and ensure the execution of strategic decisions. The position tests your ability to lead critical business functions effectively in the absence of the VP.

Responsibilities

  • Own key cross-functional business meetings, from planning through to follow-through.
  • Own the company-facing business narrative across recurring business updates, company-wide meetings, and leadership presentations.
  • Drive decisions to closure, tracking owners and deadlines from leadership meetings and escalating when necessary.
  • Own independent strategic and ad-hoc projects end-to-end, from framing the question to a business-actionable recommendation.
  • Act as program manager for major cross-functional initiatives, driving scope, sequencing, and delivery across teams.
  • Act as a second owner across the core areas of finance and operations, contributing, covering, and building depth.
  • Build decks, manage project plans, and conduct analysis independently.
  • Move between shaping decisions and producing work.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years in FP&A, strategic finance, business operations, consulting, or a comparable chief of staff role.
  • Experience owning recurring leadership meetings, from setting the agenda and preparing material through to chasing decisions.
  • Strong writing and presenting skills, including building and delivering executive presentations.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, comfortable taking an open question to a recommendation.
  • Experience running cross-functional programs and driving delivery through teams not directly managed.
  • Comfortable with senior leaders and able to guide discussions toward decisions.
  • Good working understanding of how a SaaS business operates and its key drivers.
  • Genuine curiosity about different business areas and interest in growing into larger roles.
