About the Role
Obin AI is seeking a Platform PM to own the platform's roadmap, making it the easiest, best-documented, and most trusted way to build agentic workflows in financial services. This hybrid product and developer relations role involves defining API, SDK, and protocol integration roadmaps, and creating documentation, sample code, and technical content to facilitate rapid and correct building on Obin.
Responsibilities
- Own the platform-as-product roadmap, including APIs, SDKs, protocol surfaces (MCP, A2A), and extension points for internal teams, customer staff, and partners.
- Act as the voice of the developer, gathering friction points and feature requests from internal engineers, customer IT/architecture teams, and external partners to inform the roadmap.
- Collaborate with Engineering on technical trade-offs for a protocol-driven platform, including core orchestration layer vs. extension points, versioning, backward compatibility, and opinionated defaults.
- Create technical content such as quickstarts, reference architectures, sample agents, reusable blueprints, and API/SDK documentation.
- Manage developer relations end-to-end, including technical blog posts, conference talks, workshops, and community engagement in agentic-AI and MCP ecosystems.
- Define and own developer experience metrics like time-to-first-successful-integration, documentation satisfaction, support-ticket deflection, and protocol adoption.
- Champion inner-sourcing and technical advocacy internally to ensure adoption of reusable blueprints and reference architectures.
- Operationalize strategy into shippable increments, utilizing a build-measure-learn loop on the developer/platform surface and adapting based on adoption data.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, with significant experience in platform, API, or developer-tools product roles, shipping adopted products.
- Direct, hands-on developer relations or technical evangelism experience, including writing documentation, sample code, or technical content used by developers for integration.
- Genuine technical fluency, including comfort with reading/writing code, understanding APIs/SDKs/protocols (REST, webhooks, auth, MCP, A2A), and engaging in credible technical conversations with engineers.
- Experience building for a technical audience (developers, solution architects, technical integrators), recognizing "good docs" and "good DX" as product features.
- 0-to-1 platform or developer-program building experience at a startup or new business line, comfortable defining the platform's scope.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for authoring content and external representation.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a small team environment, suited for a builder's role.
- Experience with agentic-AI or LLM tooling ecosystems (MCP, A2A, LangChain, AutoGen) as a builder, integrator, or evangelist.
- Prior experience running a developer community, meetup, open-source project, or contributing to a protocol specification.
- Public speaking or conference track record (technical conferences, meetups, webinars).
- Background in financial services or another regulated enterprise software domain.
- Experience partnering with or enabling a network of solution architects/forward-deployed engineers.
- Track record of scaling a platform/devrel function from a first hire to a small team.
- Network within the agentic-AI, MCP, or AI-in-financial-services developer ecosystems.
