About the Role

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Sr. Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key leader in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Leading the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
Experience as a tech lead or leading a high performing consulting team

Requirements

5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience leading application architecture/design/modernization projects, including cloud- based solutioning (AWS or equivalent), with AI and automation
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices
Experience with the AWS platform, web services, software development, or related technologies
Experience scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby)
Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development life cycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
Experience leading large-scale software development and modernization initiatives, with deep expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Microservices) and Generative AI tools/technologies
Work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff

Communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service
