About the Role

The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Officer plans, develops, promotes, coordinates, implements, and maintains on-campus and off-campus Work Integrated Learning opportunities for assigned programs within the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences. The WIL Officer ensures that experiential learning opportunities meet curricular requirements and support students' learning journeys. This role also collaborates with Program Coordinators and Faculty to ensure learners are prepared and supported in meaningful work-integrated learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, promotes, coordinates, implements, and maintains on-campus and off-campus Work Integrated Learning opportunities.
  • Ensures experiential learning opportunities meet program curricular requirements.
  • Supports students in their learning journey.
  • Works with FHLS Program Coordinators, Faculty and others involved in the delivery and monitoring of Work Integrated Learning.
  • Ensures learners are prepared and supported in a meaningful work integrated learning experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a three-year College Diploma or University Degree in a healthcare cluster program, Health Sciences, or Human Resources.
  • A minimum of 3 years of industry sector experience within the healthcare cluster programs (Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography, Medical Diagnostic Sonography and Respiratory Therapy programs).
  • Experience in database management.
  • Ability to read, interpret and report on statistical data.
