About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer at vCluster Labs, you will be the primary advocate for how engineers experience the vCluster Platform. You will collaborate closely with a fast-paced frontend engineering team to transform complex technical challenges into intuitive interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver polished UI for the vCluster Platform, from concept to final execution.
- Work closely with frontend engineers to scope and execute product design work, and understand backend engineering feasibility.
- Research technical requirements and proposed solutions through UX studies and competitive analysis to understand user experience impact.
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to translate ambiguous requirements into a clear design direction.
- Partner with Brand Designers to ensure product visuals align with vCluster Labs' brand identity.
Requirements
- 2+ years of B2B product design experience, preferably for a product used by engineers, DevOps, or platform teams.
- Ability to understand complex software engineering concepts through research, interest, or personal experience.
- Design with a clear focus on understanding user needs and specific requirements.
- Proficiency in designing clear, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces aligned with modern UI patterns.
- Willingness to learn highly technical subject matter through documentation and experimentation.
- Strong communication skills, including structuring presentations and defending design decisions.
- Experience designing for cloud ecosystems (cloud provider, DevOps tool, Kubernetes, or engineer-facing infrastructure product) is a plus.
- Experience in an early-stage startup environment, demonstrating autonomy and a drive for building.
