About the Role
Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is seeking a WH- Pallet Repair person to join their team. This role is responsible for sorting and repairing pallets using various tools.
Responsibilities
- Sort pallets into groups; repairable and non-repairable.
- Add boards or stringers to repairable pallets using tools.
- Stack all pallets in neat orderly stacks.
- Maintain proper housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend instructions.
- Ability to use skilled hand tools (electric saws, air powered nail gun).
- Ability to use small hand tools (hammer, crowbar).
- Ability to use Sky Hook to stack pallets.
- Requires to sit, talk, hear, walk, climb, stoop, knell or squat and/or lift up to 50lbs.
- Constant walking/standing on concrete floors, elevated surfaces.
- Physical ability and knowledge to use skilled hand tools.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places.
- Frequent exposure to loud noise.
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Adhere to all safety equipment requirements to include bump hat, hairnet, ear protection.
- Safety glasses required in some areas.
