About the Role

We are seeking a Director, Applied AI & Strategy to lead an internal productivity revolution by applying agentic AI to analyze workflows, design interventions, and implement solutions, freeing up employees for higher-value work. This is a hands-on leadership role for an individual experienced in building production-grade AI solutions using LLMs and agents, with knowledge of harness engineering and a pulse on AI advancements relevant to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly prototype and demonstrate agentic solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Refine prototypes based on business feedback for production alignment.
  • Help provide cost estimates for business cases and decision-making.
  • Build and deploy production-grade AI agents using various AI tools.
  • Incorporate guardrails, evaluations, and observability into AI agents for accuracy, reliability, and safety.
  • Integrate AI agents with enterprise resources through MCP.
  • Integrate enterprise applications, including legacy systems, with agents via APIs.
  • Partner with Legal & Business Affairs (L&BA) and Cyber Security to ensure AI adoption adheres to guardrails and governance.
  • Define and track Productivity & ROI metrics, including hours reclaimed, cost savings, and efficiency increases.
  • Maintain composability in toolsets for future agility.
  • Stay at the forefront of AI developments relevant to the Media Industry and update leadership.
  • Provide leadership with actionable “Buy, Build, Ignore” frameworks for AI tools that address media & entertainment friction points.
  • Translate high-level leadership vision into a tactical technical roadmap, prioritizing workstreams for highest ROI.
  • Rigorously manage scope and stakeholder expectations to move from Proof-of-Concept to Production-Ready.
  • Perform technical and functional audits of emerging AI tools relevant to media industry workflows.
  • Create sensible budgets in high-ambiguity environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated practical experience.
  • 8+ years of total experience in a technical function (e.g., Solutions Architecture, Digital Transformation, or Technical Operations).
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade solutions and advanced workflow integration.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems integration and workflow automation.
  • Expert in architecting logic across complex SaaS ecosystems.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building production-ready agents with LLMs.
  • Proficiency in advanced prompting techniques, multi-agent orchestration, and RAG Frameworks.
  • Solid grasp of unstructured content and techniques for curation, enrichment, and accurate retrieval for LLM context injection.
  • 3+ years of experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to translate high-level business strategy into tactical execution plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a “Vibe Coder” using AI-augmented development tools (e.g., Cursor, Replit, Claude) to ship functional code and automations at high velocity.
  • Hands-on experience implementing RAG architectures at scale and/or fine-tuning large language models.
  • Certifications in AI/ML technologies and cloud platforms are an advantage.
  • Background in statistical modeling or mathematics is a plus.

Salary/Compensations

  • Annual Pay Range: $188,034 - $220,000
  • Annual Incentive Target: 17.50%
