About the Role

Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division (MSD) is seeking an experienced Community Manager to monitor and enhance online community programs, driving user adoption, engagement, and retention. This role acts as a collaboration hub between product, education, support, and documentation teams and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of online product, education, and private validation communities.
  • Configure forum settings, assign user permissions, and troubleshoot access issues.
  • Monitor community discussions and moderation queue daily.
  • Oversee the community-based ideation platform for user-submitted functionality requests.
  • Coordinate gated, private validation spaces for pre-release software with Product Management.
  • Collaborate with the Mainframe Education team to host and promote training opportunities.
  • Act as the liaison between customers, Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Marketing.
  • Analyze community metrics and health indicators.
  • Build a customer recognition program.
  • Assist with other in-person events as required.
  • Moderate and spark discussion within public community forums.
  • Spearhead division's ideation programs to collect and categorize user feedback.
  • Securely manage gated, private validation communities.
  • Partner with the training team to elevate education communities by promoting training paths, technical exchanges, and digital badges.

Requirements

  • Bachelors and 5+ years of related experience or Masters degree and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in an online community engagement role.
  • Advanced skills in time management, facilitation, and organization.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of change management principles.
  • Ability to work in a physical office environment at one of our listed locations.
  • Excellent communication mastery.
  • Experience navigating enterprise-level engagement hubs like Higher Logic.
  • Foundational comfort with complex B2B software ecosystems or the enterprise IT landscape.
  • Data-driven approach to tracking growth and sentiment metrics.
  • Professional tact to manage private customer data and NDA-bound validation cycles.
