About the Role
As an integral part of the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team within Wealth Management, you will deliver portfolio management expertise to clients, supporting their wealth advisory, discretionary, trust planning, custody, and brokerage needs.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with portfolio managers, investment managers, and bankers in the construction and oversight of intermediate duration separately managed fixed income accounts.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to understand client needs and account mandates.
- Buy and sell bonds for client portfolios with specific attention to corporate bonds, Treasury and Agency securities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Investment Managers, Relationship Managers, and clients.
Requirements
- Understanding of the financial markets, economic indicators, and interest rate trends to inform trading decisions.
- Solid understanding of the credit markets and spreads.
- Ability to construct and manage separately managed account portfolios.
- Become fluent in all trading and portfolio management systems utilized by the fixed income team.
- Understanding of the dynamics impacting fixed income markets and ability to effectively communicate and present this knowledge to prospects, clients, and internal partners.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to present market overviews/updates in client and department meetings.
