About the Role
We are seeking a Credentialing Manager to lead contractors and vendors, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of credentialing and enrollment processes across a portfolio of payers. This role starts as a contract position with potential for full-time conversion, offering an opportunity to take ownership of workflows and grow with the scaling credentialing function.
Responsibilities
- Execute provider enrollment and credentialing applications, including CAQH ProView, primary source verification, and payer portal submissions.
- Track application status and turnaround times, proactively identifying and flagging potential delays or missing documentation.
- Maintain accurate tracking logs, SLA trackers, and denial/resubmission data in spreadsheets and dashboards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as missing NPI data, license discrepancies, and rejected applications.
- Utilize AI tools to expedite repetitive tasks like drafting communications, summarizing requirements, and organizing data.
- Collaborate with credentialing and RCM teams to ensure seamless downstream understanding of enrollment status.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with provider credentialing and enrollment, including CAQH, payer portals, license verification, and application tracking.
- Proficiency in Excel/spreadsheets, including formulas, filtering, and pivot tables for maintaining accurate data.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to identify problems, investigate root causes, and drive resolutions independently.
- Ability to draft or improve SOPs, troubleshoot issues directly, and proactively contact payers for issue resolution.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in credentialing.
